I truly enjoyed reading this book. The mystery was exciting and the main characters were well developed. Stella is the type of person that I would like to be friends with: honest, hard working, fun, and loyal. I definitely recommend this book.Product details

Drunk on Peace and Quiet eBook Becky Hatcher Crabtree Reviews
This is a hilarious and suspenseful novel. I did not want to put this book down. I was picturing the scenes in my head and trying to figure out who the characters were, being as this novel was written in a town I'm very familiar with. I actually pictured folks I knew as the characters. Just when you think you know who did the unexplainable...BAM! The author, Becky Crabtree, did an amazing job!! I can not wait until the next novel comes out.
This book is well-written and easy to read. Stella, the heroine, is the personification of an "old-time" mountain woman. Though battered by personal tragedy she does not surrender, but uses it as a catalyst to become a strong, independent woman. Infused with that pioneer spirit, Stella can not only take care of herself, but also those she loves. As we learn more about Stella, we see that she is an intriguing character who definitely knows how to keep a secret.

Really enjoyed this page-turner. Especially fun for me because of the local place names and thinking I know some of the characters. Good read with good pacing and a special neat twist at the end.
Readers will marvel at this story of Stella, a most inviting person of many adventures. She has a knack for portraying unique experiences that may seem simple at the onset, but watch out!! This read is nothing short of spectacular. Her way of expressing daily country living is almost envied, yet at the same time, you might find yourself caught up in wonder and excitement in what is to happen next. If the mountains of West Virginia could speak, perhaps a symphony of beauty, or maybe a deer panting near a stream could be heard. At the same time, however , the simplicity of life can suddenly become anything, but ordinary. Allow Stella to introduce you to her memoirs of life, and each chapter will lead you to want to read the next. You will find yourself rooting for Stella! A must-read!
Mystery, murder, romance and humor all wrapped up into one tiny package, The writing was simple and enjoyable. I found myself in the WV hills. An enjoyable read
I’m not much on reading fiction, but I have to say, this book kept me up until 200 a.m. because I couldn’t find a good place to stop. Stella’s life, past and present, will keep the reader anxious for resolution, which indeed is manifested in surprising ways throughout the book. Both humorous and at times heart wrenching, “Drunk on Peace and Quiet” will satisfy anyone looking for suspense, humor, romance, good will, and yes – murder, all in the hills of West Virginia.
Great book!!!
