I read this book in four nights. I really enjoyed it. A lot of the characters from the first book are in the second, along with, of course, our main character Jocelyn. The characters are so colorful and true to life, and you truly can associate with all of them in one way or another, and others you may recognize as that boss you worked for, or a coworker or an ex! This second book has plenty of suspense and mystery as the plot gets more dangerous and exciting. I liked the parts where the narrator is speaking from Ethan's (the father of Jocelyn's twins) point of view because you now get two very different perspectives of the same period in time. I enjoyed the hilarious times where Jocelyn is trying to juggle her political dealings as well as caring for her twins... Any mother can associate with those moments in the book, it made me laugh out loud quite a few times. There are new and colorful characters in this book as well, and I just love again the author's style in relaying these people to the reader -- she really does a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life, I even feel like I know some of them for real. The real-life history: the housing market collapse, the Middle East conflicts, the political landscape at the time -- are all told with perfection and from a perspective of someone who really did live through it --- as wel all did --- but with the excitement and intrigue of a thriller as well. I highly recommend this book, to all my friends, my coworkers, my parents, this book appeals to all different groups of people, and if you haven't read the first book, Little Yellow Stickies, you HAVE to read that book too. I can't wait for book 3!!!

Suspenseful, can't wait until the fourth book comes out. Hard to put down.
A phenomenal read. Rachael McInstosh has spun a story that enthralls. It accurately reflects what happens in government contracting.

Rachael McIntosh's writing reminds me of the books of another stellar humorist, PG Wodehouse. She takes us on a lighthearted tour through the halls of the military industrial fun house.
The author really finds her voice in this installment of "Security Through Absurdity." The last time I devoured a book this quickly was the first book "Little Yellow Stickies." I'm anxiously awaiting the next book! Can't wait to see how this all wraps up!
Bubbles Will Pop is a most entertaining read, I can't help but feel that this "fiction' story is really a "protect the innocent" documentary of the authors real life dramas, of which there are many. I actually think that the 'candidate' Ray Pierce, could actually be Congressman Dr. Ron Paul.
The lead character,Jocelyn's insertion into the political arena brings back fond memories of my own personal experiences as a grassroots political activist. Hats off and eagerly awaiting Book 3.
I read this immediately after finishing Book 1, "Little Yellow Stickies". Rachael's "Security Through Absurdity" series is brilliant and I can't wait for Book 3. I found the subject matter fascinating, and I love her writing style. This is truth written as fiction, and as such, I really believe everybody should be reading this series. It sheds light on the seedy side of the Defense/Contractor relationships, and to me demonstrates how horribly ill-informed the general public are when it comes to politics, wars, security, and widespread corruption. Well done Rachael. Highly recommended...
